A genuine 16th-century Swiss-style halberd head, combining a heavy axe blade for chopping, a top spike for thrusting, and a rear hook for pulling horsemen from their mounts. The metal surface shows pitting commensurate with its 400-year history but remains solid and stable. This versatile polearm was the weapon of choice for Swiss mercenaries who dominated European battlefields during the Renaissance. It can be mounted on a new wooden shaft for display. An essential addition for any serious collector of European polearms.
