A magnificent steel Kulah Khud helmet from the Indo-Persian region, dating to the late 18th century. It features a traditional bowl shape topped with a central spike and is equipped with a chainmail camail to protect the neck and shoulders. The entire surface of the helmet is elaborately etched with floral motifs and Quranic verses, intended to offer spiritual protection to the wearer. Two plume holders are situated at the front, which would have originally held decorative feathers. This piece is a stunning example of the intersection between warfare, faith, and artistry in Persian culture.
