A traditional Indonesian Kris dagger featuring the distinctive wavy (luk) blade, forged from pattern-welded iron (pamor) which is believed to hold spiritual power. The handle is hand-carved from exotic hardwood in a stylized abstract form. It resides in its original wooden scabbard, often considered the 'house' of the spirit within the blade. This distinct weapon is as much a talisman and status symbol as it is a fighting knife. A beautiful ethnographic piece representing the rich cultural heritage of the Malay Archipelago.
