Kindjal Dagger

A fine example of a Caucasian Kindjal, the traditional dagger of the mountain tribes and Russian Cossacks. This piece, dating from the early 20th century, features a double-edged blade with a deep central fuller. The horn handle is accented with silver rivets, and it comes with its original silver niello scabbard, decorated with intricate scrollwork. The Kindjal was a ubiquitous sidearm in the region, serving as both a weapon and a status symbol. This dagger is in good condition, retaining much of its original sharpness and decorative detail.
